Another Perfect Dream Vacation! and although I promote single occupancy, this is a vacation where sharing a cabin aboard a luxury catamaran with your best friend, mother, sister or daughter will be the sailing adventure of a lifetime!
“Happy is the person who has the good fortune to sail the Aegean Sea. Nowhere else can one pass so serenely from reality to dream” ~Nikos Kazantzakis
Welcome to Athens, Greece!
Athens: You will arrive before noon to Athens, Greece, the land of the mythical Gods and ancient civilization. You will be welcomed at Athens International Airport by a private driver and taken to your four/five-star hotel. The afternoon will be spent relaxing, taking in the scenery and remembering all of those Greek Gods you have dreamed about. We will whet our exploration appetite with an easy stroll through cobblestone streets reaching the Plaka in anticipation of the weeklong festivities. There will be a lovely evening of ouzo, mezes and a rooftop evening view of the Acropolis.
Delight in the present, experience the past!
Athens: After breakfast, we will meet our private guide and begin our walking tour. We will visit the Acropolis itself and its timeless temples of Parthenon, Erectheion and Athena Nike. We will make a short climb up to the Hill of Philopappus to the imposing Roman period funeral monument and extensive views of Athens and Piraeus. The afternoon will be spent at the New Acropolis Museum before our evening in a Greek taverna: fun, food and Greek Folk Dancing.
Bon Voyage!
This morning we will pack and be ready to depart in the early afternoon for the port to meet our catamaran and crew! We will soon be sailing in the Greek Islands! But before we leave for Lavrion, we will continue exploring beautiful Athens with our private guide and visit Syntagma Square, the beautiful neighborhood of Kolonaki and take a walk through the beautiful National Gardens.
Kythnos to Serifos
Today we will make our way from Kythnos to Serifos. Serifos is a bare and rocky island and an ideal place to explore . This is one of the most stunning approaches in the Cyclades. There will be a main town where you can rent a scooter or mountain bike to take in the absolutely beautiful vistas.
Serifos to Paros
There is something for everyone on the island of Paros. Shopping, restaurants, scuba diving, bars, hiking, mountain biking, water skiing, museums and beautiful sandy beaches. What will you choose to do today? I can recommend a beautiful island climb with the most beautiful panoramic views.
Paros to Mykonos
Mykonos is famous for it’s jet setter image but it is so much more. With the colorful nightlife and beautiful windmills, exploring the island can be an adventure. You can rent a scooter or jeep to explore the island or take a tour to nearby Delos. Delos is considered the center of the universe by ancient Greeks and is a short boat ride away. If you decide to just sunbathe and relax, you can then spend the evening, late into the night, at some of the trendiest bars, restaurants,or shopping at great stores. Choices, choices.
Mykonos to Syros
Syros is the capital island of the Cyclades. With its old world aura, Syros bustles with activity. There are a lot of cultural events, places of interest and a thriving yachters community.
